From Ms. Jacque, the Lead Supervisor at our Northside extension site:
I would like to recognize Joe, one of our amazing MSU volunteers, for this month’s Team Shout-Out.
Joe consistently goes above and beyond in everything he does. He is always willing to lend a helping hand without hesitation and brings a positive attitude every time he walks through our doors. He actively participates in all our club activities and builds meaningful relationships with our members by simply being present, engaged, and enthusiastic.
Whether he’s playing basketball, singing along to Taylor Swift, or joining in on whatever fun the day brings, Joe makes every activity more enjoyable. His patience, kindness, and genuine care for our club members never go unnoticed. He has a wonderful sense of humor that keeps everyone smiling, and he has created such strong connections with our youth that he’s probably their favorite team member!
Joe’s dedication, positivity, and willingness to make every child feel seen and valued truly embody what the Boys & Girls Club is all about. Although we are sad to see him leave our site, we are incredibly excited for him as he begins his student teaching journey at a high school in Holland, Michigan. We know he will make the same positive impact on his future students that he has made on our club members. We are incredibly grateful to have had Joe as part of our team, and he is more than deserving of this Team Shout-Out.
Fun Fact: Joe is a twin, coaches baseball, and is a huge Taylor Swift fan! His passion for mentoring young people shines both on the field and here at the Boys & Girls Club.
