What a day. On Friday, May 29th, our golf course at Forest Akers West was full of friends, longtime supporters, and a whole lot of laughter, all in the name of our kids. By the end of the afternoon, we had raised over $55,000 for our Club. That number still gives me chills, because every dollar of it means more meals, more mentors, and more chances for our kids to discover what they're capable of.

This year we tried something new, and it ended up being the heart of the whole event: every golfer got to "play for a club kid." Each round was dedicated to a real kid from our Club, someone they were playing for, even if they never met. By the time everyone made it back inside at the end of the day, the room was packed, golfers, sponsors, staff, all of us standing shoulder to shoulder. Looking around that room, it hit me that every single person there had shown up for the same reason: our kids. What started as a golf outing became something much more personal: a reminder of exactly whose future we were all out there supporting.
A day like this doesn't run itself, and I'm endlessly grateful to the people who made it happen. Thank you to our volunteers, including members of our Board of Directors and friends from LAFCU, Equanimity Wealth Management, and Jackson National Life, along with so many others who showed up early, stayed late, and made sure everything ran smoothly from registration to the final putt.
To everyone who golfed, sponsored, volunteered, or simply cheered us on: thank you. Because of you, our kids have a brighter year ahead, and I can't wait to see what we accomplish together next.
Thank you to our sponsors:
